Summer?

Does anyone remember where we left the summer? Today it seems we put it down somewhere and forgot where. I spent the day going from shop to shop spending just enough time in each to get what I wanted and dry off before going out in the rain again.

I pitied the artists taking part in Peoples Art at St Stephens Green, they spent the day sitting in heavy rain showers while their paintings got soaked. By the end of the day some of them were not even bothering to try to cover their work anymore. Next week is Peoples Photography. I know some of the people taking part, I hope the weather is better for them.

Quit your whinging. Have you forgotten all the good weather we've had previously in the year? The earth's climate is changing so what are traditionally thought of as the seasons can be thrown out the window. Lets just be glad that we're not subjected to tsunami, earthquakes or volanic eruptions.

Poor artists indeed. Those sorts of things are miserable when the weather is bad. Peter is doing a show in Cork next weekend, so I will be handling his spot on Saturday at the People's Photography. (Sunday is up in the air- waiting to find out about my camogie match - if the match is on, his sister will be playing the role of the Lovely Assistant.) If you're around on Sunday, please introduce yourself. I'd love to put a face with the blog. :)

hey declan, when are you heading off on your travels to sunnier climates, avoiding the wretched winter?

1st October :-)

Today was the first day this year when the "who is on holidays in this sprint" email went around and I got to say I was.

A sprint is 6 weeks of planned, scheduled and approved work. The last week of the next sprint falls in October :-)

Thanks for that. You got me on this "sprint" Jargon. But i'll assume you're talking shop ;-)

Scrum planning and sprints are the latest fashion in project planning. Basically it's a way of keeping us constantly approaching a deadline.

Yea i had actually heard/read of and knew you guys were using it. My post was a bit tongue in cheek.

No chance of Vodafone adopting anything like it unfortunately.
