Missing buses

As I stand at a bus stop waiting for an 11 bus to come by a question is bugging me. Why does the bus service in this city seem to get worse when there is a big sports event like Manchester United in the Champions League on TV?

There always seem to be large gaps in the schedule on those days and nights. I hope if any drivers rang in sick today they aren't too ill to lift their heads and watch the match.

    I remember arriving into Dublin airport one Wednesday and being totally unable to get a taxi. There was a trickle of one every few minutes. The explanation I got was "Ireland are playing tonight".

I allow people to comment anonymously, many blogs dont. If you want to express an opinion and throw insults my way but are afraid to back up your statements with an ID at least back up your opinions and insults with a logical argument.
